Construction

Chris brings a wide array of construction experiences to every one of his projects. He has over 10 years of experience in the field of construction, where he has learned a variety of techniques and specialties. He began learning basic residential framing techniques out West where he cultivated his skill as a fast and efficient worker. He moved back to the East coast and began work with a prestigious contractor who valued precision and high quality work as well as efficiency and immaculate work ethic. During his years with this company, Chris gained skills in all areas of residential construction, allowing him to see projects from the very beginning phases of building right through finish carpentry.

After honing his abilities as a skilled carpenter Chris began working on his own, undertaking the construction and management of exceptional and challenging projects. With his own company he gained experience in management of employees, as well as general project management and general contracting. He undertook unique projects ranging from historic renovations to new construction. He took responsibility for running these projects with efficient skill and attention to every detail. His extensive portfolio of work includes a custom home with interior finishes made from locally grown and custom-milled cherry, management of an extensive renovation of a lake house complete with multiple large built-in cabinet pieces designed and built by Chris using exotic hardwoods and rare glass, and a French Country farmhouse complete with stone walls, huge exposed beams, copper roof, and custom doors, cabinetry, tile and finishes inside.

After many years of running his own successful business, Chris took a position running the production and management side of a well-established construction company in Nyack, NY. While there he shared his skills in business and management as well as his own exceptional skill as a master builder and carpenter. During this time he served as production manager and supervisor for the company’s crew. Chris also began to educate himself on the finer details of the “Green” building movement including techniques and materials that could be used in his trade in order to produce better more sustainable products, more energy efficient structures, and healthier indoor environments.

His passion for the environment has grown over the years and he feels strongly that he has a great deal to contribute to his field and his clients through the use of sustainable practices. He has completed a certificate in Green Building through Colorado State University, and he has shown his dedication and degree of knowledge in passing the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) exam, becoming a LEED Accredited Professional.

Chris founded EverGreen Building Technologies with hopes of bringing sustainable construction to a wider range of clients. He brings his extensive knowledge to every project that the EverGreen Team works on. EverGreen offers a dedication to fine craftsmanship combined with passion for the environment. Our first focus is on delivering a quality product and experience for our clients, which includes attention to detail and dedication to quality management.
